Avalon

Located South Central in Saskatoon, Avalon is made up of single detached houses. According to MLS listings, as of 2016, the average amount for a house was $357,792.

Residential construction did not begin until after World War II.

There are two schools located in Avalon:

• John Lake public elementary school is located at 2606 Broadway Avenue. 
• Georges Vanier Catholic elementary school is located at 820 Wilson Crescent. 

There are three parks in the area, and are taken care of by the Avalon Community Association:

• C.P. Seeley Park 
• John Lake Park
• Avalon Park 
• Off-Leash Recreation Area

Along with 40 home-based businesses in the neighborhood, there is a strip mall on the corner of Broadway Avenue and Cascade Street.
