Evergreen

Evergreen is located in the University Heights Suburban Development Area in Saskatoon, and is currently under construction. Once construction is complete, it will be the densest area in the city with 8.6 units per acre. According to MLS listings, as of 2016, the average amount for a house was $503,229.

The area was named after two Scots Pine trees that have been planted in the area and are over 50 years old. Once construction is complete, Evergreen will be the first area in the city that will be the first large scale installation of LED street lights.

There are no schools located in Evergreen, but located nearby are two high schools in University Heights Suburban Centre, and two elementary schools in Silverspring:

• Centennial Collegiate public high school is located at 160 Nelson Road. 
• St. Joseph Catholic high school is located at 115 Nelson Road. 
• Silverspring School public elementary school is located at 610 Konihowski Road. 
• Mother Teresa Catholic elementary school is located at 738 Konihowski Road. 

The Chopped Leaf is located at 1844 McOrmond Dr and is known for serving correct portions and having tasty food.

Fun Fact: Main roads were named after the community, while smaller streets were named after Saskatoon citizens.
