Located Southeast in Saskatoon, Lakeview is made up of single detached houses, and multiple unit condominiums. According to MLS listings, as of 2016, the average amount for a house was $391,585.

Residential construction was at its peak from 1981 to 1985.

There are two schools located in Lakeview:

• École Lakeview public French and English elementary school is located at 527 Kingsmere Boulevard. 
• St. Bernard Catholic elementary school is located at 203 WhiteShore Crescent.
